Chapter 6 · How one is made
Written down before it’s drawn
Every kit starts as a sentence and fourteen rules. Values come next, then every part in every state, and only then the pages. A script checks it all before it ships.
- 1PremiseThe one idea
- 2Fourteen rulesWhat never changes
- 3TokensEvery value, every printing
- 4ComponentsEvery state, on the kit’s own ground
- 5PrimitivesThe classes Claude uses
- 6DemosPages the kit was never given
- 7AuditChecked by script, every release
- 8Model testDoes a fresh session get it right
Four ways to start
- A blank page
- Write the premise and the rules first, then everything else.
- Your projects
- Gather the values your own work already repeats, and name them.
- Two kits
- Line them up role by role; a difference becomes a printing or a new kit.
- A site you admire
- Measure it to learn from it. Private study, never shipped.
